Supporting Effective Transitions
Description
This training is brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Early Years Team for the attention of Reception teachers and preschool practitioners.
This session will be in 2 parts; first will be some practical information, an opportunity to share good practice, including looking at the EY transition toolkit to support effective transitions for all children.
We will take a short break and then the second part will be for you to network and set up visits for your children that will be starting school this September – so please remember to bring your list of children, the schools that they are going to, and your diaries!
This session will be delivered by the Early Years team and special guests Georgina Tait, EYFS leader from Phoenix Infants and Aimee McElwee, Head Teacher from Baylis Court Nursery, who will be sharing some key information from their training with Jan Dubiel about children’s learning behaviours linked to supporting young children’s transitions
This session is for reception teachers and preschool practitioners to enable discussions between settings and schools.
