Cross School Moderation Opportunities | Key Stage 2 - Year 6 Teachers

This training has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Assessment and Moderation Manager, Jamie Hassan, for the attention of KS2 Year 6 Teachers.

These opportunities are only available for schools who have signed up for the moderation agreement letter and have informed the STA and LA they wish to be moderated by Slough.

Wednesday 1st April | The focus will be on working at the expected standard with reference to the statement

"Write effectively for a range of purposes and audiences, selecting language that shows good awareness of the reader (e.g. the use of the first person in a diary; direct address in instructions and persuasive writing)"

Tuesday 5th May | The focus will be on pupils working at greater depth with focus on the statement

"Write effectively for a range of purposes and audiences, selecting appropriate form and drawing independently on what they have read as models for their own writing (e.e. literary language, characterisation, structure)"

An opportunity to share and discuss children's work with other schools. Teachers can try and secure judgements for their children for various subjects which may be moderated, via an external moderation visit in 2020.
