Early Years | Find Out About iTalk & Being An ELLP

This training has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Assistant Business Support Officer, Shamila Khan, for the attention of, EY practitioners and those colleagues working with children with SLCN.

How effective are you and your team at creating an environment and using strategies that support the development of early speech, language and communication (SLC) with the children in your setting?

Are you and your team confident at identifying children who are delayed in their speech, language and communication and/or have SLC needs?

Does your school or setting have an Early Language Lead Practitioner (ELLP)?

If these are questions you would like answers to, come and find out more about I Talk, Slough's local SLC toolkit based on the ECAT system.

In this session we will give you a brief overview of the I Talk programme, and its many techniques, materials and strategies, and the developmental identification tool, that have been developed in partnership with Speech and Language Therapists.

Following the introductory session we will then provide your identified ELLP with 121 support in your school or setting to establish the role and embed strategies.

This is free training and delivered online.
