The observation, assessment and planning cycle is crucial to children’s progress in the EYFS, and takes into account children’s current learning interests and styles, developmental stage and level of achievement, and individual needs, to inform how practitioners develop the environment, shape experiences and provide opportunities for play and learning.
The EY Ofsted framework emphasises the knowledge of the practitioner in ensure high quality OAP that responds to individual children rather than quantity of paperwork.
This course will consider the different strategies for observation and share good practice on how we plan for next steps that ensures our children are motivated, excited and support to learn and reach their full potential.
