“For Piaget, a scheme was a pattern of behaviour into which experiences were assimilated. As a result of experimental play, children from a very early stage in their development, apply a range of action schemes to objects and begin to categorise those that are suckable, those that are throwable and so on.” John Siraj-Blackford

The Early Years Foundation Stage requires practitioners to look, listen and note down children’s interests as a starting point to becoming familiar with each new learner and should support children’s schematic play patterns so that they can build on individual children’s interests, therefore taking part in powerful learning opportunities through sustained shared learning experiences.

This training will develop practitioners’ understanding of schematic play behaviour and explore how they can use these to effectively respond to children’s schemas to develop their dispositions for future learning in a positive behaviour environment.

This training is being offered at a reduced rate of £19.60 per place.

This training will take place online via Zoom.

The last date to book your place is Wednesday 12th May 2021.
