Early Years | SEBDOS Attachment And Emotional Resilience Training

This training has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Interim Workforce Development and Sufficiency Coordinator Clare Thompson, for the attention of early years practitioners and Childminders.

This training is by invite only. If you have not received an invite, please contact the event organiser by emailing thelink@slough.gov.uk . If you have received an invite and are unsure of how to register, please download the following instructions: https://thelink.slough.gov.uk/file-download/download/public/860.

Please note bookings are limited to a maximum of 3 per setting.

During the session we will look at the different styles of attachment, how they present, some of the challenging behaviours you could encounter, exploring together what may be driving them, and considering how children’s behaviour will change as their needs are met.

We will look at your roles with the children during their time with you, how you have a key part in the development of secure attachments. We will also look at the impact and possible outcomes from children who do not build secure attachments.

We will look at how building a positive attachment with their carer’s and yourselves creates positive levels of self-worth, self-esteem and in turn promotes emotional resilience. We will then give you ideas to use with the children to promote their emotional resilience.

This training session will be held online via Zoom and details of how to join will be sent to you once you have registered.

The last date to register for this training is Wednesday 23rd June 2021.
