This event has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Education Safeguarding Officer, Jatinder Matharu, aimed at all Designated Safeguarding Leads from Slough Schools who undertake the role within their setting.
Aim
By the end of the course you will have increased understanding knowledge and confidence to carry out the role of the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
Learning Outcomes
Delegates will have an increased awareness and understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the DSL, Legislation and guidance pertinent to the role and recognise good practice and recognise essential elements to creating a culture of safeguarding within you school including:

Raise awareness of safeguarding including training and induction of staff

updating of policy and procedures

Managing, maintaining, recording and sharing information, including confidentiality

understand and effectively contribute in multi agency systems and processes to safeguard children
