As KS1 SATs and moderation are now non-statutory, this is an opportunity for Year 2 teachers to moderate writing. It will allow Year 2 teachers to share current assessment procedures for writing in Year 2. Teachers will need to come prepared with examples of writing, preferably one at each standard. Teachers can then share and discuss this with other Year 2 teachers. A range of writing evidence will be useful when moderating your pupils.
