This training is being provided by Community Dental Services CIC Slough.
Community Dental Services CIC is excited to offer you the chance to become an Oral Health Champion! By acquiring new skills and knowledge, you'll be empowered to make a positive impact on children, their families, and your colleagues regarding oral health. Don’t miss out on this opportunity! The training is completely FREE, takes place online, and lasts just 90 minutes. You’ll find the sessions engaging and interactive, led by a skilled oral health practitioner, with plenty of time to ask questions. Plus, all attendees will receive certified Continuing Professional Development (CPD) credits.
Oral health is an essential part of our general health and well-being and contributes to our quality of life. Good oral health contributes to the development of a healthy child and school readiness. By preventing pain and discomfort, which can cause difficulty sleeping, eating, and socialising, a healthy smile will also encourage positive self-esteem, which will contribute to an individual’s emotional well-being.
Tooth decay is the most common oral health disease affecting children and young people in England and is nationally the biggest reason for children aged 5-14 years being admitted to hospital for teeth to be extracted under general anaesthetic, with most cases being entirely preventable.
