Lego-based Therapy training gives you the key knowledge, skills, structure, and resources to effectively run Lego-based therapy sessions with young people. Originally designed for autistic children with social and communication needs, it has been found to be beneficial to a much wider variety of young people with similar challenges. Delegates will need to purchase at least one starter kit per person at a cost of £120 (this includes VAT charge) to access the course and deliver the intervention, however Emma is delivering this training itself free of charge.

Kits will be available for collection at Baylis Court Nursery on the day of the course. There about 20 spaces so far and there will be no limit on how may spaces each school can have.

Places are available now to book here for each delegate and they will receive the Block Therapy Starter Kit at the training. There will also be opportunities to get more kits on the day etc.

The course will cover:

  • Awareness of Autism and the theory behind the structure approach.
  • Theory of Lego Therapy and how this can be applied to intervention.
  • How to assess children to level of competency of lego therapy.
  • Practicalities of setting up and maintaining this intervention.
  • How to use Lego therapy to support  vulnerable children with more complex issues.
  • Practical exercises to carry out with the trainer throughout the course, which is fun!
