Big Ask for Children and Young People

This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Associate Director for Children and Families, Michael Jarrett on behalf of Slough Borough Council's Consultant for Public Health, Sue Foley. This is for the attention of all education professionals.

The Big Ask is the largest ever survey of children in England, designed to find out what their concerns and aspirations about the future are and this survey is now live. To access the survey please click here.

Promotional resources have also been developed for The Big Ask and can be found here, along with an online video introduced by England and Manchester United footballer Marcus Rashford here.

Please could you share this survey throughout your respective local organisations that support children and families, so that as many children as possible can be reached. The survey can be taken by children from age 4 to age 17 and by adults who are a care leaver, parent or work with children. The survey will take approximately 5-10 minutes.

The results from this survey will help to identify the barriers preventing children from reaching their potential, put forward solutions and set ambitious goals for the country to achieve. The more children respond, the stronger the results will be.

Thank you in advance for helping to put children and young people at the head of the country’s plans to rebuild for the future.
