Children's Flu Update

This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Senior Programme Officer for Public Health Tim Howells, for the attention of all schools to share with parents.

For the first time ever there is now an alternative flu vaccine available for children whose parents decline the flu nasal spray due to its porcine gelatine content. For more information please click here.  Ensure your children and loved ones are protected this winter and get #IamVaccinated.

Speak to your GP practice if your child is aged 2 or 3 or your child is aged 2 to 17 years with a long-term health condition that puts them in an ‘at risk’ group for flu. However, if your child is aged 4 to 12 years, then you must email the Berkshire’s Immunisation Team at schoolimmunisationTeam@berkshire.nhs.uk or call them on 0300 365 0077.
