On Thursday 29 August, Faron Paul from Faz Amnesty, in partnership with Slough Youth Justice Service and Slough Borough Council, held a free community fun day at the Langley Pavilion.
Various workshops, talks and demonstrations by local organisations were held to highlight knife crime and keeping the community safe. Thames Valley Police also joined, getting to know people who are working in the community and helping to prevent knife crime.
We had a raffle, Boothbuss (mobile recording studio), bouncy castle, chopper bikes, rock climbing and food provided by Bullyz – a local Caribbean restaurant. We’d like to thank Bullyz for providing free hot meals to 40 young people too.
Live music was also organised by Love Music hate violence, with one young person showcasing his talent too.
Thank you to everyone who was involved with this and to those who were able to attend.
