Have you considered what you are doing in your school to celebrate Black History Month this October?
We are putting on an amazing event with Freshwater Theatre specially for Slough Schools.
The sessions is called “Black History: A Celebration” and involves a combination of storytelling and interactive drama activities to explore important events and people from British black history. As the children discover more about the abolition of slavery and the Windrush generation, they will also encounter some unsung heroes from Black history.
The session is available on Friday 11th October at 10am at The Curve.
We have 120 places available and we would particularly recommend the session for years 2 & 3. As this is a special show we are asking for contribution towards the cost, we suggest £1 per pupil, with teachers and teaching staff going free. If you cannot afford the full cost or can only come if it is free, please do get in touch to discuss it further as we would very much like your involvement.
To book, let us know how many places for children, and how many adults will be accompanying them by end of this week - 4th October 2019. Please contact Gaby Koenig by e-mailing gaby.koenig@slough.gov.uk or alternatively call 07702685878 for more information.
