There is a large amount of misinformation circulating on social media, including Facebook, twitter and WhatsApp.

If you receive any questions or become aware of your setting being mentioned on social media please immediately share the correct links with your clients / parents / customers to reassure them. Slough has had two incidents of this misinformation this week so please be proactive in your dealings with people on this issue to help prevent the spread of misinformation.

If for any reason your setting makes the decision to close – because of COVID-19 or any other reason – please let us know immediately. Any closure of any setting at this time would be concerning for residents and we need to be aware from the outset.

Thank you again and if you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the council coronavirus planning team on coronavirus@slough.gov.uk. Please use this email address rather than any individual contacts you may have at the council so we can ensure we are capturing all local concerns and can get back to you as a matter of urgency.
