The DfE have contacted the Early Years Team to identify EY providers that may be eligible for PDP 3 Training that is part of the covid recovery programme to develop practitioners’ expertise and raise outcomes for children, and the Education Development Trust, have started to email Slough settings to ask them to make applications.
The EYPDP is a DfE part funded high quality, evidence-based Professional Development opportunity for up to 10,000 early years practitioners across England. It consists of online self-study eLearning and regular facilitated webinars with a total of 60 hours learning to be delivered over an 8-month period. There are a total of 4 cohorts of learners, with staggered start dates across 2023/25. Training will be broken down into 4 modules for Communication and Language, Early Mathematics, Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PSED), plus a final Action Planning module. The first cohort starts in February 2023 with a completion date of October 2023.
Education Development Trust are coordinating the training with delivery partners Anna Freud and Speech and Language UK, to ensure the quality of the training content and support for practitioners.
