This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Early Years and Prevent Childcare Development Co-ordinator, Clare Thompson, for the attention of Childminders, PVI's, Nurseries, Nursery Schools, Primary Schools with Nursery Classes, Primary Schools offering breakfast and afterschool and holiday provision.
We have an annual duty to evaluate the early years and childcare provision available in Slough. We therefore need to gather information from all providers regarding services offered to families and details about each setting’s operational arrangements.
This years audit focuses on the early years workforce and business sustainability. We will use the information to develop an enhanced understanding of the early years market in Slough and consider future developments which may support the sector.
The results of the Annual Provider Audit will be used to create a Childcare Sufficiency Assessment (CSA). This will identify specific locations in Slough that will benefit from further place development as well as services that families require. We would like to encourage you to consider whether you have the business capacity to expand your current offer. To find out the areas in Slough where demand is highest please refer to the CSA 2019: http://www.slough.gov.uk/council/strategies-plans-and-policies/childcare-sufficiency-assessment.aspx
Please complete the annual audit and send it back to earlyyears@slough.gov.uk by Wednesday 17th July 2019. If you would prefer to post the completed document please send it to: Slough Early Years Service, St Martins Place, 51 Bath Road, Slough, SL1 3UF
