This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Community Programme Development Officer, Gaby Koenig, for the attention of Secondary Schools, History Teachers and PSHE Teachers.
The Curve will be hosting a Holocaust survivor – Uri Winterstein - on Monday 28 January, 10.30am for a special talk as part of honouring Holocaust Memorial Day (which is the previous day, Sunday 27 January). The talk is aimed to last 90 minutes, but may last slightly longer depending on any questions that come from students.
We have space for 220 students and teachers to attend and places will be booked on a first come first served basis.
This talk would be especially suited to students of GCSE History to give a live context to the GCSE syllabus but would also very valuable to History students at A-level. We have been advised that students should be aged at least 14 to attend the talk.
If you are interested in attending please can you let us know the total number of people who would be attending, students as well as staff. We can arrange for minibus to drop off at The Curve, but there is no onsite parking, so do let us know if you need help with arranging nearby parking.
To book your place please contact thecurve@slough.gov.uk
To discuss your arrangements or other queries please contact Gaby Koenig on 07702 685 878
Please confirm your places by Friday 30 November.
