This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Associate Director, Children and Families, Michael Jarrett on behalf of Frimley CCG's Children and Young People’s Mental Health Lead for East Berkshire, Giovanni Ferri. This is for the attention of all professionals working with children with SEN.
The aim of this group was to improve the school and educational experience for young people with special educational needs & disabilities and/or long term conditions.
They have worked to create a report aimed at teachers to improve their understanding, and help inform their future delivery. To aid in creating this resource, they consulted young people with special educational needs & disabilities and/or long term conditions to better understand the different experiences.
Their final report provides a breakdown of what young people with special educational needs & disabilities and/or long term conditions would like their teachers to know and how this can better inform their teaching methods.
