Ofsted’s Facebook page for registered childminders and nannies
Did you know that Ofsted has a Facebook page for registered and prospective childminders and nannies? If not, it’s worth following.
We know that childcarers use Facebook a lot. Ofsted’s page has proved popular and now has over 5,000 followers. The page helps childminders to connect with other childminders, share ideas and talk about the challenges and rewards of the job. There are many groups on the site where people support and help each other. For more information please click here.
Ofsted calls for early years experts
Early years and childcare | Ofsted calls for early years experts – Ofsted are setting up a forum for academics, practitioners and researchers to talk about a wide range of early years issues. The forum will meet to talk about early years teaching theory and practice, and to review the kinds of topics that Ofsted will consider in planning its survey programme.
If you want to register your interest in attending the early years pedagogy and practice forum, you must do this by 5pm on Friday 28 September.
