This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Education Safeguarding Professional, Zarine Power for the attention of all Schools.
Dear Colleagues,
Please find attached the Autumn safeguarding newsletter. I have added the the Slough domestic abuse training offer.
I have also attached some information (see below) sent from Olivia Archer the NSPCC Schools coordinator. We are hoping to have Olivia talk more in depth at the DSL networks about some of the great programmes they can offer schools free of charge.
Best wishes,
Zarine Power, Education Safeguarding Professional

We want all young people to understand healthy behaviours in relationships and recognise their right to be safe, heard, and respected. And we want them to know how to get help from a safe adult if they need it.
Talk Relationships includes:
- A free e-learning course for teachers, that addresses their specific needs when delivering sex and relationships education.
- A free e-learning course, specifically tailored to school leaders, on implementing a whole-school approach to sex and relationships education.
- 14 free, ready-to-teach lesson plans and resources.
- 6 SEND-specific lesson plans, adaptable for the needs of different students.
- A helpline dedicated to supporting secondary school educators with help and advice to deliver effective sex and relationships education.
- A Whole-School Approach Framework to sex and relationships education. The framework is made up of 5 free documents that, when used together, will support school leaders to implement a whole-school approach to sex and relationships education based on evidence and best practice.
