Thresholds Consultation

This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Education Safeguarding Officer, Jatinder Matharu, for the attention of all schools.

Slough Safeguarding Partnership is seeking views from frontline practitioners who use the Threshold document and Multi Agency Referral Form (MARF) on a regular basis.

Thresholds support with identifying the service responsible for leveraging an intervention, and the extent to which engagement with services can be voluntary or statutory.

This consultation aims to collaboratively review and grow this threshold document to encompass extra-familiar familial risks that are not attributable directly to parenting, while also working alongside parents to create safety for that young person.

The refreshed thresholds will also incorporate UN convention on the rights of the child into a single threshold document whilst maintaining the categories of the assessment triangle.  Please note that the thresholds document attached is a working draft document FYI.

Please assist us to shape and inform the Slough threshold document and MARF form by answering this short survey which will take 5 minutes. Your views will be directly fed back into the working group.

The survey is open for 1 week and will close on Wednesday 16th December 2020.
