This training has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Assessment and Moderation Manager, Jamie Hassan, for the attention of experienced moderators and or KS1 teachers who have had experience in Year 2 of at least 2 years, with an understanding of the teacher assessment frameworks.
Please note you must have permission from your Headteacher to be potentially a moderator due to time commitment required.

To be a moderator you must meet the following criteria. Moderators must have:

Qualified teacher status;

2 minimum years recent relevant experience of the appropriate key stage they wish to moderate;

Recent experience of year 2 for kS1 working with the teacher assessment frameworks;

Relevant experience of writing assessment and internal and external moderation;

Successfully complete the STA standardization exercise to become a moderator;

Permission of your Headteacher to become a moderator and be available for a number of days in the moderation period in June 2020;

Availability for the briefing for moderators prior to the moderation period;

Availability for the schools, who will be moderated this year,
-
Briefing;
-
Any additional training required;

The flexibility and availability for up to 4 days during the moderation period in June 2020; and

Must have good interpersonal skills.
Key information for delegates: Delegates are to bring early examples of work for 1 or 2 children in reading, writing and mathematics.
Registration will begin at 9am with refreshments and the training will begin promptly at 9.30am. Lunch will also be provided.
