The DfE has issued updated FAQ: COVID-19 information and guidance for childminders
This contains additional information on your options when you have not been advised to self-isolate but cannot childmind from your own home due to a positive case:
- Operating from another registered premises (e.g. another childminder's home)
- Operating from an unregistered premises (e.g. a relative's home)
- Operating from a self-contained building (e.g. a cabin in the garden, provided it meets certain requirements)
- Remaining in public premises such as a park
If you choose to operate from a different premises, you need to make sure you discuss and agree these plans with the parents/carers of your minded children, check that your public liability insurance covers you and take the additional measures outlined in Annex A.
