Early Years Provider Updates | COVID-19 Edition 6

Please find below updates and information for all settings regarding the operation of provision during COVID-19.

If your setting is currently still open and are considering closure please discuss with the Early Years Service and contact the team on 01753 476554 or email earlyyears@slough.gov.uk.

Family Information Service

Slough’s Family Information Service has a record of all settings currently open for children of key workers/vulnerable children, please signpost parents and carers to the FIS if they need to find care including holiday provision, call 01753 476589 or email fis@slough.gov.uk.

Weekly Registers

All settings who are open this week will need to send the local authority details of the children who attended or are attending your provision. This information must include children who were on roll and children who have started at your setting due to the Coronavirus situation.

This information must be submitted in order to ensure funded early education payments during this time or any additional payment requests.

Settings which remain(ed) open for some children (those of key workers and vulnerable children*) should do the following:

  1. Complete the ‘record of children in attendance form’ in the attached spreadsheet.  This will include children of critical workers and vulnerable children and may include children that are not enrolled at the setting;
  2. Submit your settings attendance by completing the spreadsheet and then password protect it and send to earlyyears@slough.gov.uk . Please do not email personal details without password protecting the document first. Please use the password ‘Attendance;
    • Childminders please call Danielle Mercer on 07770 936674 or Aneesa Younus on 079232 60397 if you are unable to email in the details.
    • Group settings please contact Sharon Rose on 07920 287687 or Karen Loft on 07923 260393 if you are unable to complete the spreadsheet.
  3. Save and retain a copy of the ‘record of children in attendance form’ at the end of each day in a separate tab within this spreadsheet.  Add the date to each new tab; and
  4. For each new day, complete and save a new ‘record of children in attendance form’ please submit your next registers by 1pm on Friday 3rd April.
