Free CPD For Primary School Educators

This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Public Health Programme Officer, Timothy Howells, for the attention of Primary School Teachers.

Every year schools have instances of D&V outbreaks which keep kids off school and sometimes mean schools close if staff are unable to work due to illness. Such incidents could be prevented or at least made less impactful by better hand hygiene.

The national e-bug team have designed a train the trainer workshop for primary school educators around the use of e-bug materials that help children learn about how hand hygiene can prevent infection and reduce the need for antibiotics in an age-appropriate and fun way.

This is planned to take place 9th September in Newbury. Full details in the flyer attached. Please can I ask for your support in promoting the event and seeing if anyone if your schools would like to take advantage of this free CPD opportunity.

Registration has been extended to end of July and should go to bwccg.medicines@nhs.net.
