This message has been brought to you by Giovanni Ferri from Young People's Service for the attention of Secondary Schools.
As you know last years Make Your Mark campaign was a great success and resulted in Slough securing the best % turnout in the UK in relation to participants with 80%. The Youth Parliament are seeking the support of all Secondary schools to support the campaign again.
Make your Mark can be an integral part of PSHE and a great opportunity for your Youth Parliament Reps or School council to take part in gathering the views of pupils. The top 5 issues identified nationally will go on to be debated by the UK Youth Parliament in November 2018 including Slough’s Youth Rep.
Schools can register to participate and order ballot papers or download tally sheet here before 20th July. This link also includes school guides and class room resources.
Students can also register to become Make Your Mark champions. Please click here to register.
Whilst Registration needs to take place by the 20th July, the actual campaign and voting takes place between the 22nd August and the 10th October.
Any additional support and guidance you need can be secured directly from the British Youth Council or locally from the Young People’s Service, please contact me if you have any questions or to request free support.
