Public Health topics for November are mouth cancer, stress, diabetes and alcohol.
The main focus for this month is mouth cancer awareness month. Please have a look at the attached information as well as the information within the links and see what you are able to promote within your setting.
As you will see mouth cancer is the 14th most common cancer in the UK with one person being diagnosed every hour; individuals often forget to check their mouths for anything different or if they do notice a change forget that their dentist is able to help them. So it is vital that we promote mouth cancer awareness and highlight Blue Wednesday - 17th November this year; a day when we should all check our mouths.
