This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Public Health Programme Officer, Timothy Howells, for the attention of Headteachers and primary schools in Slough.
Thank you for your ongoing support with the flu vaccination uptake and promotion.
I am pleased to announce that the most up to date data has been released from Public Health England and a personalised letter is being sent out to your school with your average flu uptake rates for the overall school as well as the importance of the ongoing work on flu prevention.
We would like to continue working with primary schools across Slough to promote the high importance of the flu vaccination for all primary school children, and help increase the uptake rates in Slough which are currently the lowest in Berkshire. I have attached the “importance of flu vaccination to children” flyer to this email. Further information and support will be shown in your individual school letter.
If you would like a copy of your flu uptake data and support resources electronically ahead of receiving them in hard copy, then please email me directly – timothy.howells@slough.gov.uk.
