Infection Control, Flu and Winter Preparedness

This article has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Senior Programme Officer for Public Health, Adults and Communities, Tim Howells, for the attention of all primary schools.

As you are starting back in school, having to restart in the light of Coronavirus, can we bring to your attention infection control, flu and winter preparedness.

The public health team are working alongside the school health and wellbeing project offer, to provide you with a comprehensive offering looking at infection control and flu. The following documents are attached to this article:

  • The details of a teacher and general school staff training session – This is an infection control and immunisation session being delivered on 22nd September and 21st October.
  • The details of a parents and carers training session – This is covid/flu/immunisation session being delivered to parents and carers on 29th September.
  • Your flu uptake letter – This shows your flu vaccine uptake for 2019/20 and crucial information for this coming winter. This will be sent out to you hard copy with your exact rates on.
