This training has been brought to you by Slough Borough Council's Early Years Team, for the attention of PVI managers and EYFS lead, and their teams.
Summer Term annual celebration event
Last year we held our first early years annual celebration event and this year we would like to build on the success of the session. We would like to invite early years leaders to attend this special event where together we will celebrate the successes over the last year across the whole sector. We are excited to use this as an opportunity to share the amazing work that practitioners have delivered for children and young people in Slough.
Due to capacity please book maximum of 3 places, per setting/school.
If you have more that can attend, please complete the booking for three places and then email and we will add you to the waiting list the names, email addresses and role of additional staff
We are looking to celebrate early years practitioners who have gone above and beyond and had a considerable impact on children's outcomes. We will be asking for nominations from the sector and our partners where they believe a practitioner / leader has been exceptional this year which has had an outstanding impact for a child or groups of children.
Awards will be given for each of the following categories:
- Supporting children with SEND
- Working with families
- Supporting practitioners
- Delivering outcomes through Early Years Pupil Premium
- Supporting effective transitions
- Leading and developing curriculum and practice
- ELLP / ITALK / speech and language
- Supporting vulnerable children
- Promoting health and wellbeing
- Supporting diversity

Nominations will all be looked at by a panel to award practitioners in each category
All nominations must be returned to the Early Tears team by 23.05.25 EarlyYears@slough.gov.uk
Who is aimed at: Early Years, Nursery and Reception leads to celebrate all your wonderful Early Years teachers, practitioners and support staff.
