The NSPCC has published a news story about the benefits of play to children’s wellbeing and Childline support available over the summer holidays. A YouGov survey of over 1,000 UK parents found that 86% whose children play, believe in-person play has a positive impact on children’s wellbeing; 62% would like their children to have more time to play; and 32% said playing with peers would enhance their child's playing experience the most.
